There, I have been a witness to countless miraculous stories of healing, and embraced many "PH Miracles" as they leave the ranch disease-free.

Today, I wanted to celebrate the amazing work of Shelley Young, as so much of the success of the pH Miracle regime centres around her incredible food! For over 20 years, Shelley has travelled on this whirlwind journey with her husband and four children, developing and perfecting the delicious alkaline plant-based recipes that remain the mainstay of the pH Miracle program today.
As a Lecturer, Nutrition and Culinary Consultant, and Recipe Developer, Shelley's work provides the practical application of the alkalizing principles contained in the research of her husband. With a deep awareness of the dangers of the present-day acidic diet and its relationship to the epidemic of various diseases such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, obesity and cancer in both adults and especially children, she is constantly exploring the most creative ways to make alkalizing food more appetizing, delicious and attractive to the masses.
She does this in spectacular fashion. As a "master alkalarian chef", as she is called by her fans, she teaches alkalarian food preparation at her many seminars and retreats around the world, as well as in her Cooking DVD, Shopping DVD, and You Tube Videos. Some of my favourites are the Green Milk and Sweet Almond Shake with Liquid Chloropyll that I LIVE ON now! YUMMO! You can also find many of Shelley's delectable recipes in her two fabulous books, BACK TO THE HOUSE OF HEALTH andBACK TO THE HOUSE OF HEALTH 2.
As a Licensed Lymphatic Massage Therapist (LMT) and trained microscopist, Shelley also lectures on the lymphatic system and its important role in the body. She is an amazing speaker, and is acclaimed for her seminars on how emotions affect our pH balance, as well as her presentations on the latest nutritional research. Highlights include teaching at the Women’s College in Beijing, China; being a keynote speaker at Tony Robbins’ Life Mastery events; and serving on a team of scientists and nutritionists as an invited member to NASA’s mission to Mars! Having been heavily influenced by John Robbins’ book, DIET FOR A NEW AMERICA, Shelley is a huge advocate of healing through a properly balanced way of eating, living, and thinking. She is especially passionate about helping children, becoming an activist in influencing schools to improve school lunch programs. An accomplished artist and illustrator, having studied art at the Watt’s Atelier in Encinitas, California, Shelley created two alkalarian heroes, "Doc Broc" and "The AvoRado Kid" that appear in the children's picture book, DOC BROC AND THE STONEHINGE CAVE ADVENTUREthat she wrote and illustrated with her gorgeous son Adam.
Dr. Young, and Shelley also founded InnerLight, Inc., and The InnerLight Biological Research and Health and Education Foundation. This Foundation is committed to sharing Dr Young's research with the world, and assisting people who are dealing with debilitating diseases. Some of their extracurricular projects have included a double-blind research study at the University of Miami on curing diabetes; as well as applying their research to treat the wild animals at Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Arizona.
This dynamic duo are truly inspiring, and I have witnessed and personally experienced the miraculous healing powers of a vegan alkaline diet. Dr Young's research and Shelley's recipes have changed my life. I have never felt better, I will never look back, and I will forever grateful. "I am a proud Alkalarian!"
This fabulous edamame pate is a glorious example of the quick easy tasty food you can prepare as an alkalarian. This recipe has become a staple in our house, and I am sure it will be in your house too. Shelley typically makes this recipe in her masticating juicer by pressing the coconut and edamames through and mixing. But you can also make it in your Sous Chef® food processor. Shelley says about this recipe, "This pate is a beautiful green and white marbled pate with an Asian flair. High in protein and healthy fats. Makes great baby food too!" I say, "It is absolutely delicious and not to be missed!"

Shelley Redford Young at The PH Miracle’s Vegan Alkaline Edamame Pate
- 1 cup of fresh coconut meat (1 Young Thai coconut)
- 1 ½ -2 cups of raw edamame (you can buy frozen and thaw)
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- ½-1 tsp garlic salt (I use Real Garlic Salt)
- In your Sous Chef® food processer using an S-blade, place edamame beans and coconut meat and pulse chop until well mixed and the texture of the edamame and coconut shows in a marbled way.
- Stir in the toasted sesame oil and garlic salt to taste.
- This can be served fresh or chilled.
- Use an ice cream scoop to spoon out pate on top or to the side of salads, or enjoy as a spread/dip in wraps, or on crackers or with veggie crudités. YUMMO!
