Eight Good Habits That Will Help Prevent or Reverse Cancer

The American Institute for Cancer Research has
released a 517-page report detailing the
CONVENTIONAL medical view of what your main risk
factors for developing cancer, and what you can
do to reduce your risk.

Among their findings -- after reviewing more than
7,000 large-scale studies over the course of five
years -- the Institute is now convinced that excess
body weight increases your risk for the following
types of cancer:

* Colon

* Kidney

* Pancreas

* Esophagus

* Uterus, and breast cancer in
post-menopausal women

The report also found that there are certain
lifestyle changes that will reduce your risk
of getting cancer:

1. Be as lean as possible within the normal
range of body weight

2. Be physically active as part of everyday life

3. Limit consumption of "energy-dense foods,"
foods that are high in calories, fat and sugar.
Avoid sugary drinks

4. Eat mostly foods of plant origin, including
fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans

5. Limit intake of red meat and avoid ALL
processed meat

6. Limit alcoholic drinks to one per day for
women, two per day for men

7. Limit consumption of salt. Avoid moldy
grains or legumes

8. Aim to meet nutritional needs through diet
alone, without dietary supplement

The release of these lifestyle and dietary changes by
the American Institute for Cancer Research is a good
first step in the right direction. Because cancer is
not a cell but an acidic waste product from lifestyle
and dietary choices I have found that more needs to be
done to prevent and/or reverse the toxic breakdown
effects of dietary and metabolic acid.

First, the body weight issue as a marker for cancer
is only secondary to the cause of cancer and that is
an acidic lifestyle and diet. Your body is alkaline
by design and acidic by function.

Your body will retain fat only as a protection
against dietary and metabolic acids that have
not been eliminated through urination, perspiration,
defecation and respiration.

The number one marker for cancer is when your pH
or your urine is below 7.2. The urine pH is a
specific indicator of tissue pH. When the pH of
your urine is below 7.2 you are at risk for all
cancerous states, regardless if you are fat, thin
or normal weight!

As far as the eight lifestyle changes you can
make to prevent and reduce your risk for cancer,
the American Institute for Cancer Research suggests
only one out of eight that goes far enough in
its preventative effects on internal acid rain
that breaks down cells and tissues -
be physically active everyday of your life.

I will comment on the rest of the lifestyle
and dietary changes that I have found in my
research will help to prevent and reverse
a cancerous state.

1. Be as lean as possible within the normal
range of body weight. If you are living an
acidic lifestyle and diet, being thin or
normal body weight could be hazardous to your
health. The body needs fat to buffer or to
park dietary or metabolic acids to protect the
organs and organ systems that sustain life.
Being within the normal range of body weight
would be only wise if you are living an alkaline
lifestyle and diet and your are managing your
urine and saliva pH daily at 7.2 or above.

2. Be physically active as part of everyday life.
This one is right on. I would suggest that
physical activity should be continuous
exercise for at least 1 hour per day. I would
also suggest that the key benefit when exercising
is moving the body to move acid out of the tissues
and then out of the tissues via sweat glands.
The most important part of exercising is sweating.
The more you sweat the healthier you will be. So
sweat your way to health.

3. Limit consumption of "energy-dense foods,"
foods that are high in calories, fat and sugar.
Avoid sugary drinks. This one is partially
correct and partially incorrect. For example,
sugar is an acid that spoils cells causing them
to become cancerous. On the other hand, avocados
are a high calorie fatty food that buffers
dietary and metabolic acids reducing your risk
for cancer. So don't worry about calories. You
should know whether or not a food or drink is
alkalizing or acidifying. When you are eating
and drinking alkaline food you can eat as much
as you like as often as you like. The body
runs on electrons NOT calories. So eat and
drink electron rich alkaline food to your
hearts content.

4. Eat mostly foods of plant origin, including
fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans.
The problem with this suggestion is that grains
and beans are moderately to highly acidic and
will contribute dietary acids that can cause
a cancerous state. In addition some fruits and
vegetables like pineapple, bananas, potatoes
and beets are full of sugars that will also
contribute to a cancerous state. The key
is to know what foods and drinks are alkalizing
and what foods and drinks are acidifying.

5. Limit intake of red meat and avoid ALL
processed meat. All animal flesh is acidic
and congestive to the root system of the
body - the intestinal tract, leading to
many cancerous states including colon cancer.
Eating animal protein is a sure bet for
doing cancer. The acids from animal protein
including fish and eggs that can lead to
a cancerous state are, nitric acid, uric
acid, phosphoric acid and sulphuric acid.
These acids from meat rain on your body
cells and tissues turning healthy cells
into unhealthy or cancerous cells.

6. Limit alcoholic drinks to one per day for
women, two per day for men. This suggestion
reminds me of the following lethal weapons
metaphor which goes like this - Your mortal
enemy has 7 lethal weapons and is in your home.
Don't worry, we have taken six of them away.
Would you be worried? Staying on one acidifying
intoxicant will still arm your enemy. That one
weapon I've left in the enemies hand is alcohol.
How many heat sources does it take to burn down
a house? One! If you want to be healthy and
prevent a cancerous body condition then there is
no place for alcohol in your House of Health and
Fitness! That also goes for soda drinks, soda
water, coffee, all teas including white and green
teas, and tap water or water with a pH of 9.5 or
less.

7. Limit consumption of salt. Avoid moldy
grains or legumes. It is good advise to
avoid any food that is turning to yeast or
mold. That would especially include cheese,
yogurt, mushrooms, nutritional yeast, soy
sauce, mustard, vinegar, and the list goes

To suggest not eating salt would be like
limiting your oxygen or water should
intake. To suggest not eating salt or
limiting salt can lead to a state of systemic
acidosis. Salt is necessary to make the number
one buffer of the human body, sodium bicarbonate,
to help maintain its alkaline design.
Without salt you would die. What one needs
to limit or eliminate is acid rain from the

8. Aim to meet nutritional needs through diet
alone, without dietary supplement. This would
be a good suggestion if we could get the
electrons we need to run our body and the
alkalizing agents we need to buffer dietary
and metabolic acid rain. Without dietary supplements
it is just about impossible to achieve incredible
outstanding health, energy and fitness.

In order to protect your house of health you
need the following foods, drinks and supplements
on a daily basis:

1) Eat and drink a diet high in chlorophyll
including green drinks and green fruits and
vegetables. I would suggest drinking at least
1 liter or quart or a green drink per 50 lbs.

2) Drink three to four ounces of poly-unsaturated fat

3) Drink three to four quarts or liters of alkaline
water with a pH of 9.5 and an mV or -250. This
water can be part of the green drink. You do
not need to do both. You can do a combination

4) Eat eight to twelve grams of natural unprocessed
sea salt.

These four steps are what I refer to as the
four food groups. They cover all the nutritional
and energy needs of the body. There is no
need for any additional carbohydrate or protein.
The body builds its muscle, bones and skin from
blood and blood is built in an alkaline environment
in the small intestine with alkaline green foods
