The World Institute of Natural Health Sciences is a not-for-profit, worldwide campaign organization which was established to facilitate, support and defend the natural, innovative, alternative and integrated health care industries; their sciences, manufacturers, suppliers, practitioners and the individual's right of access to them.
We fully support each individual's basic human right to make their own educated decisions, have access to and the freedom of choice from all available SCIENCE, treatments and therapies in order to maintain or re-establish a desirable and sustainable level of health, nutrition and well-being.
ALERT: European legislation, backed by well funded vested interests, is set to undermine many of the beneficial food supplements, amino acids, minerals, herbs and traditional medicines that we normally take for granted.
Worse yet, the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CODEX), is seeking to adopt these unnecessary and restrictive pieces of European legislation and apply them worldwide in their campaign for “Trade Harmonization.” The World Trade Organization (WTO) will then act as the enforcement branch for all member nations ensuring that no member nation will have a trade advantage over another. Although that might appear reasonable from a world economic perspective, what it really means is that the U.S. and other nations outside of Europe will no longer be able to enjoy their “safe haven” status for the full range of innovative natural health remedies.
In fact, not only will trade exports be dramatically affected, domestic manufacturing, sales and distribution will also have to comply due to existing international trade agreements including theGENERAL AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE (GATT) and the WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION AGREEMENT (WTO).
In effect this means that even non-European countries will eventually have to conform to very harsh anti-vitamin laws through CODEX guidelines and standards as regards a much shorter list of allowable vitamin substances, radically reduced dosage levels and strict censorship of what can be said, promoted or advertised concerning physiological or mental benefits and that’s not all...
